Maxim Integrated is sampling the 78M6610+PSU1/78M6610+LMU2 single-phase energy-measurement subsystem chips

The chips are designed to provide utility-grade sensing over the dynamic range of load current and power-down modes which can be retro-fitted to existing designs.

Specifically, the 78M6610+PSU is designed for real-time monitoring of telecoms and data equipment, while the 78M6610+LMU is a more general-purpose chip for applications such as white-good appliances, smart plugs, EV chargers, and solar inverters.

System cost is reduced with the chips’ internal RC oscillator and low baud rate serial interface.

The 78M6610+PSU is available in a 24-pin QFN and 16-pin TSSOP package.
